This is Totoro, and the logo for Studio Ghibli Films. Studio Ghibli movies, for the most part, have happy endings to their stories. The issues are always resolved, the characters have varied experiences that help them to grow as people, and there’s always memorable relationships built between characters. To me Totoro is the epitome of joy, innocence, happiness, and fullfillment. He will always remind me that there is a special happy ending to my life, and I will have it one day. I just have to make it through some difficult and discouraging years.
This was my first tattoo, but I didn’t think to take a video. I do have these pictures of the process.
My tattoo was done by Samantha Helm at Mean Machine Tattoos in Tampa, Florida. I was very nervous, but she was very friendly and genuine and made me feel at ease. I’m very pleased with the results, and I love her work.
